    1. Molasses will condition your hair but you should rinse it out since it will leave your hair feeling sticky. I may cause breakage if it hardens.

    2. Well, I suggest washing the molasses out of the hair since it can leave the hair feeling sticky. Also, like honey when molasses is left the hair and is exposed to air it will eventually harden. The harden molasses will cause hair breakage.

Great article. One question: since it encourages melanin production, does it make your skin darker too?

        Thanks.

          1. Someone said they were taking this for health reasons but had to stop after a few months because it was making their skin go too dark

          2. It may be due to the copper in molasses. If it is affecting the skin how much are they taking? I know people who use molasses as a part of their diet (sweeteners and cooking) It did not affect the melanin in their skin but it thickened their hair ( their hair is dark brown ) and they never went grey.
